Our Impact Initiatives

1% For The Planet

We are proud to announce that we’ve joined 1% for the Planet, a global movement of thousands of businesses dedicated to giving back to the environment. By committing to give 1% of our annual sales, not just profits, to verified environmental non-profits, we’re reinforcing our promise to create meaningful, positive change for the people and planet.

Currently, only 3% of philanthropic giving goes to the environment, and this global community wants to change that. 1% for the Planet works to prevent greenwashing and certify reputable giving.

Through this partnership, we aim to support impactful initiatives addressing critical issues like climate change, conservation, and sustainability. This commitment aligns with our broader mission to balance profit with purpose, ensuring that our growth contributes to a healthier, more sustainable future. As we look ahead to 2025, our partnership with 1% for the Planet is a vital step in amplifying our environmental impact and inspiring others to join the movement for a healthier, more sustainable future.

B CORP

B Corp Certification is a globally recognized standard for companies committed to balancing profit with purpose. It evaluates businesses across five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. To achieve certification, companies must meet the minimum verified score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment (BIA), demonstrate accountability through legal commitments, and commit to ongoing transparency and improvement.

With an initial qualifying score of 82.7, Tru Earth met the threshold for B Corp Certification by demonstrating strong practices in key impact areas. As we work toward recertification in November 2025, we are on track to achieve a milestone score of 100+. Our aim is to set a shining example of what it truly means to be a force for good in business.

OCEAN WISE

Our mission is fueled by the urgent need to eradicate the 864 billion plastic household containers that end up in landfills and oceans each year, posing a critical threat to ecosystems. Plastic accounts for at least 60% of the annual waste inundating oceans and beaches—equivalent to over 46,000 pieces of plastic per square mile of ocean.

In partnership with Ocean Wise, we launched the Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup program in the USA in 2022 with over 75 #TruChangeMakers. We expanded from 7 cleanups in 2023 to 51 in 2024, mobilizing communities across the U.S. Between 2025 and 2027 we aim to

DEIB Statement:

At Tru Earth, we strive to make the world a better place through our commitment
to the planet’s well-being with our environmentally conscious products and our commitment to our employees and community. We are proud to be an
organization that promotes equity and respects differences in our social identities such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, language, nationality, health, abilities/disabilities, religion/spirituality, culture, age, and socioeconomic status. In order to make the lasting change we value at Tru Earth; we believe people are not separate from the environment and we must work to protect both simultaneously. We value creating a space to celebrate our differences, learn from one another, and honor our varying experiences. We consistently strive to learn with open minds, to reflect on our own positions within the current systems, and to create intentional change to build a more equitable world. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are foundational elements for creating true, lasting change that cares for your future.

Recognition of the Land:

The Tru Earth community, crew and customers alike, spans many cultures,
countries, and histories. As part of our commitment to environmental health,
justice, and equity, we are dedicated to the land and the people who call it home.
Tru Earth is respectfully and gratefully based on Turtle Island, commonly known
as North America, on the traditional, treaty, and unceded territories of First
Nations, Inuit, Métis, and Native American (Indigenous) peoples. Wherever we operate, we acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism and the histories of dispossession that continue to shape communities and the environment today.
